New longest run: 8.93 km, and Saturday earns its place back

DIST  8.9 km TIME  1:13:08 EFFORT  easy

This is the run the whole week was rebuilt around. Saturday morning, long run, exactly where it’s supposed to live.

8.93 kilometres — a new longest, well past the last one. Slow and deliberately so, with proper strategic walks worked in throughout, not squeezed in as an afterthought. Just over an hour on the road, nothing rushed, nothing forced.

After last week’s mess — the moved long run, the tight legs, the leg day I couldn’t quite recover from — this felt like the correction actually working. Long run on Saturday, rest tomorrow, and the whole week gets to breathe properly instead of stacking leg-day on top of leg-day.

The ladder toward 10 km just got a lot closer. And it got there the patient way, which is the only way that counts.
